 Johnson & Conroy Agency, Inc. is an Independent Insurance Agency that was founded on June 2, 1962 by Al Johnson and Hank Conroy. With an initial investment of $150 each, they first opened the Agency at 244 East Main Street in Port Jervis. Five years later the Agency relocated to 122 Jersey Avenue and then in 1974 it moved to 74 Jersey Avenue, it's present location.
The Agency lost one of its founders in April of 1989 when Al Johnson passed away after a short illness.
On July 1, 1994, co-founder Hank Conroy retired and the next generation of this family run business began its ownership of the Agency. Lisa VanInwegen, Hank's daughter became and remains President of the Agency. Richard Hugel joined the Agency in 2000 and became an officer and shareholder in 2002.

Lisa VanInwegen - Lisa has been the President of the Agency since 1994. She joined the Agency in 1982 and became an owner in 1994. Lisa has been licensed since 1985 and is licensed to sell both Property/Casualty and Life/Health products. She is married with 3 children. Lisa’s passion is watching her kids race Slingshots. She is also an animal lover and spoils her dog Cady and cat Slingshot.
Richard Hugel - Rich has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. He earned his licensed in 1983 and can sell both Property/Casualty and Life/Health products. Rich is a member of the BPOE, an avid baseball fan and loves to golf (when they let him on the course).
Tina Kerr - Tina joined Johnson & Conroy in 1994. She has over 15 years experience in the insurance industry. Tina has been a licensed broker since 1998. She is married and has a son. Tina is an animal lover and especially loves her chocolate lab Lena and cat Sasha.
Lois Fahnestock - Lois has over 15 years experience and became a licensed broker in 1992. She joined Johnson & Conroy Agency in 1996. Lois works with our personal and commercial clients. She is married with two children. Lois is a NASCAR fan and roots for Kasey Kahne.
Sheila Ladika – Sheila began her insurance career in 1998 and was licensed in 2001. She joined Johnson and Conroy in 2003 and works with our personal and commercial clients. Sheila is married and has 2 children. Snowmobiling is one of things Sheila enjoys when she is not helping clients.
Darlene Halloran – Darlene started in the insurance industry with Johnson & Conroy in 2004 and received her license in 2007. Darlene is married and has 3 boys ranging in age from 15 to 9. She is active in the community and serves as a board member of the Eldred Little League and Port Jervis Soap Box Derby.
