Compensation Disclosure
Johnson & Conroy Agency, Inc. is compensated on a commission basis by the insurance company that writes your insurance, whether we are acting as an “agent” or a “broker.” This commission percentage is set by the company, not by us, and is included as part of the insurance premium you pay. Additionally, if overall volume and loss experience of all the policies we write with a particular company warrant it, we may qualify for an additional bonus or commission or other types of compensation, on a basis determined by the insurance company and paid by them. Such arrangements do not affect the premiums charged, and play no role in our carrier selection process. The factors used to calculate the additional bonus or commission are not policy or client-specific and we generally do not know if such a payment will be made by a particular insurer, or the amount of such payment, until the underwriting year is closed.
